Affecting Factors for the warehouse storage design Layout

1. Surrounding environment
The environment around the warehouse includes harmful gas, solid particles, vibration and so on, and the distribution of transportation conditions and collaborators.

2. Inventory characteristics
Inventory characteristics refer to the nature, quantity and required storage conditions of goods stored after storage.

3. Warehouse type
The warehouse type refers to the nature of the warehouse itself. For example, there will be obvious differences between comprehensive warehouses and professional warehouses.

4. Operation process
The operation process refers to the composition and relationship of warehouse operations.

5. Methods of operation
There are qualitative differences in layout, automation, mechanization and manual operation.

The three-dimensional planning of modern warehouses refers to the layout of modern warehouses in three-dimensional space, that is, the planning of warehouse height. When the warehouse is built, the natural terrain on the site should be properly reformed to meet the loading and unloading requirements between the buildings, the storeroom and the freight yard in the reservoir area, and the drainage of the site should be rationally organized.

The relationship between the scale elevation of the storehouse and the elevation of the road surface in the reservoir area is determined by the degree of mechanization of storage operations and the operation of forklift trucks. Because of the limitation of mechanical climbing capacity during load operation, the difference between the height of the storehouse scale and the road surface will affect the efficiency of the forklift operation. It is better to make the scale of the storehouse and the road surface of the reservoir area equal on the elevation; when the time is no longer, there will be no more than 4% longitudinal gradients between the both.

The freight yard is usually arranged along the railway line, most of which are on both sides of the railway line. In addition to ensuring specific provisions of the railway, the elevation of the freight yard can be slightly higher or slightly below the railway line.

The loading and unloading platform usually faces the railway on one side and the other side faces the automobile line or loading and unloading yard. The height and width of the platform vary with material handling and transportation. When the vehicle is transported, the platform should be higher than the 0.9-1.2m of the road surface according to the general type of the vehicle. When the train is transported, the height of the platform should be level with the bottom of the carriage.

The carrying capacity of the storehouse floor area is different from that of the ground, cushion and foundation. For example, 300mm thick stone on hard ground and 200mm thick concrete on the ground have a bearing capacity of 5-7t/m2. We should make full use of the bearing capacity of the floor, use all kinds of shelves in order to make full use of space, and use various loading and unloading machinery and equipment to work together to accelerate the turnover of goods in stocks.
