Different Storage Racking Solutions for Cold Chain Warehouses
In cold chain storage, these goods basically have the characteristics of quick turnover, large disposable storage and high requirements for storage facilities. To meet these basic needs, each specific cold chain logistics can operate normally and efficiently. Among them, it is the key to provide a professional and suitable storage rack solution for cold chain. If you choose the right thing, the next thing will be good.
Radio Shuttle rack system
Radio Shuttle rack system is easy to realize automatic and relatively economical storage rack type. They are different from through racks. They are single rack and related equipment together with the rack type. The remote control of shuttle car installation and rack track can be realized by using automatic control system to realize the intensive storage mode of goods. The rack is only carried on the entrance of the goods at both ends, and then handed to the shuttle trolley to do as little as possible for human operation. In cold storage, because of the particularity of the environment, the original design evaluation is very critical to allow the normal operation of the rack and equipment system. The shuttle bus should do the best match with the cold environment, the control signal is good, the personnel scheduling is timely and effective. These are all necessary factors to be emphasized in the solution of shuttle shelving in cold storage. Only in this way can the basic problems of the whole cold chain logistics be avoided.
Drive in rack
Drive in rack is one of the common rack types in conventional warehouses and cold storage. In terms of storage volume, it is obviously larger than other traditional storage racks. In the structure of drive in rack, forklifts can enter their internal racks and pick up goods. In this way, for cold chain refrigerated warehouses that require frequent turnover, to some extent, they are suitable for use. They are typical FIFO storage racks. Drive in rack has great advantages in storing foods and drinks. Compared to other racks for intensive storage, this is relatively low cost storage equipment, and for some cold chain storage with limited operating funds, it is a good choice to use a perforated rack.
Push back rack
The principle of push back rack: overlapped in the front and back beams with multi-layer trolley, and put the stack of goods from the outside to push into the trolley, and the goods stored in the rear will push the original goods to the inside. It looks like pressing the goods back in the past, so this rack is known as a press in rack. The advantages of push back racks are actually in use. When the pallet is larger than the form of advanced first out work, they can simplify the working procedure and improve the efficiency of the work. Because the storage area of the racks is large and the channel is less, the space utilization ratio of the warehouse is high. This obviously has advantages for relatively high cost cold storage. So they are more commonly used in freezers.
Gravity rack
The gravity rack is the derivative of the cross beam rack, that is, the rack type that is formed on the basis of the heavy racks. A roller wheel is installed on the cross beam of the rack, and is tilted to a 3-5 degree inclination angle, and the earth gravity is used to realize the displacement of the goods. Gravity rack is also a first in first out storage mode. The characteristics of the gravity rack are summarized as follows: environmental protection, low noise, no energy consumption, safety and reliability. There is no channel between racks and groups, thus increasing the utilization rate of 60%. Gravity racks are widely used in logistics distribution centers, cold chain warehouses, transfer and distribution centers, etc.
Very narrow aisle rack
VNA rack has also become one of the leading roles in refrigerated warehouses. In the structure of the rack system, they form a set of storage systems in the form of two sets of heavy-duty racks together, leaving only a narrow channel between each rack, which is the origin of the name of the VNA rack. The purpose of this design is to maximize the use of limited warehouse space to achieve intensive storage mode. Because of the narrow laneway, only three directional forklifts can be used to enter the laneway in parallel and carry out storage operations in all directions. Because the main body of the rack is heavy duty rack, they can be used well for most goods.
